Can Truss be Green?
Can the mundane backbone of the industry be "green"? If the truss is provided
GT (green truss), the answer is yes. Well the truss is not painted green, it is
actually a gorgeous powder coated black finish. But in eco-terms, it is
definitely earth friendly green
Every now and then, a new idea comes along that revolutionizes an industry.
Spectrum Productions is proud to offer the new line of Green Truss (GT).
Engineered green from the ground up, GT Truss is designed with efficient
productions in mind. The truss is not only serves to support the lights in the
air, but also to transport the lights. That means less wood is wasted for
cases. That also means less truck weight and less truck space. Once we're at the
show site, roll it off the truck and into place. Less setup time and less labor
needed. The time savings can mean a better
"looks" since the LD can spend time on the focus and programing instead of
pulling fixtures from cases.
We are excited to announce that
Freda Agner has joined the Spectrum Productions team. Freda started in the
audio visual and production industry in 1993 after receiving and Associates
degree in Video and Film from FMU. Having sixteen years of experience ranging
from Camera Operator / Videographer, Photographer, General AV technician,
Breakouts Supervisor to Logistics Coordinator, Freda understands production from
the ground up. With Freda’s talents in project management and creative
production design backed up by excellent customer service her clients nationwide
will be well served.
Freda also donates her time and
knowledge to the Orange County Arts Education Center. Freda teaches children
from elementary to college level that Production Support and Design is very much
an art in its own class. We agree, production is an Art! Reach out to Freda

 For
the 8th year in a row, Spectrum Productions and Preston MacIntyre
provided audiovisual, staging and lighting for the NASCAR Series Awards Banquets
in Miami and Orlando. Each year, Spectrum Productions is presented with the
challenge of outdoing last year’s stunning performance. With an out of this
world set design, interviews with this year’s hottest drivers and O.A.R.
headlining, this year’s awards banquet was assuredly an event to remember.
On Dec 24th Spectrum Productions
teamed w/ Atlanta’s own Grace Fellowship Church for a night of inspirational
music, vision, drama & teaching.
Gwinnett Arena hosted this rapidly growing ministry for what would be their
exciting launch into 2010.
Front and center was our 15 x 50ft Projection
screen and triple DLP projector combo. This is challenging element to include in
an arena design, especially one that requires key lighting for a 250 people on a
60x40ft stage area. Results… Content was spectacular, and function was flawless,
due to some inventive use of blended projectors, fused w a truly "out of the
box" thought process concerning lighting design.
This 4 truck show arrived at 8am on day one,
was rigged and floating, ready for systems verification in 3hrs. This is
traditionally impossible for most one off shows. With Spectrum Productions,
preparation met experience to deliver a timeline normally reserved for only high
level touring artist. It's all about people, and ours were on point as expected.
High Power LEDs Have Arrived
We now feature the finest in
high PowerLED Lights in the World. In side by side testing, the 108 LED are
as bight or brighter than 1000 watt Narrow Par 64's, yet they only draw 140 or
so watts! In a "no Color" test, the standard 1kN is somewhat brighter, but very
yellow, but as gels and colors are brought into test, the 108's RUN AWAY with
brightness. Using a 132 Blue - Against the 108 series, the difference is
breathtaking. You will LOVE these lights! True PowerLEDs have finally arrived,
and now at 25 Lights, finally within reach!
