Veteran Tour Manager and Engineer Joins Spectrum Productions

ATLANTA, September 10, 2003 – Spectrum Productions has added a truly gifted engineer and road-experienced production manager to its Atlanta based operations. Rob Wilson, formerly of Sound Associates, Inc. joins the Spectrum staff as an account manager and chief audio engineer.

Rob Wilson officially joins Spectrum Productions as an account manager and chief audio engineer. Since age 14 when he purchased his first PA system, excellence in performance audio has been the core of his professional life. On the road immediately after graduation from high school in 1984, Mr. Wilson began a full time touring career. From 1989 through 1991, he was the front of house audio engineer for Epic Records recording artists Turbo B. and Snap, averaging over 175 shows per year. As the production manager for 38 Special from 1991 through 1998 averaging over 200 touring days per year, Mr. Wilson advanced and accomplished hugely successful shows with nearly all major sound companies, promoters and radio stations across America. In his 16 plus years of road show and tour management experience, he has mixed live audio to millions of people and has developed seasoned expertise in all phases of live sound environments.

Following his extensive touring and show management tenure, Mr. Wilson accepted a position in 1998 as Operations Manager in the Atlanta, Georgia office of Sound Associates, Inc., headquartered in New York, New York. During his employment at Sound Associates, he mixed main front of house audio for the gamut of music styles. A range of artists from Ray Charles and Dru Hill, to Sonny Rollins and Dee Dee Bridgewater, to the Alabama and Atlanta Symphony Orchestras have depended on his expert level abilities as an audio engineer as well as his personable client management skills. In the praise and worship production arena, Mr. Wilson has had the distinction of mixing main front of house audio for the Stellar Awards, the gospel equivalent of the Grammy’s in secular music, for the past three years and all large productions for Victory Baptist Church in Atlanta and the World Changers Ministry.
