Spectrum
Productions Inventory Expands Again With New Sony DXC-D50WS Cameras |
|
ATLANTA,
July 2, 2004 – Spectrum
Productions announced today the further expansion of its video
equipment inventory through the purchase of new Sony DXC-D50WS
cameras, CCU-D50 camera control units and RCP-D50 remote control
units.
The purchases will extend its event production and industry
cross rental offerings of the company.
The new cameras and control units represent the new standard in
live corporate event production.

The
DXC-D50/D50WS is the next-generation in the DXC-series of cameras, designed
for even greater picture quality and operational convenience.
The DXC-D50WS is the 16:9/4:3-switchable model and features the new
high-performance Power HAD™ EX CCD sensor and precise 12-bit A/D
conversion built into a highly sophisticated LSI.
The result is superior picture quality, high sensitivity, plus low
noise and smear characteristics over previous models.
A variety of automatic functions, including Auto-Tracing white
balance (ATW), have also been included, allowing easy and convenient
operation in any shooting scenario.
“These cameras (Sony DXC-D50WS) are
really the new state-of-the-art. The
picture quality when transferred to I-mag screens is amazing. For corporate
production and (direct) digital capture, these cameras are the best,”
according to Brian Hogger, Spectrum Productions’ Director of Development.
With a host of sophisticated
features, the DXC-D50/D50WS provides an ideal solution for corporate, live
event or studio operations.
While the Sony DXC-D50/D50WS cameras are
available as stand alone rentals from Spectrum Productions, custom
engineered packaging containing a full camera kit in one road case is
readily available. The ultra
sturdy road cases are designed according to Spectrum Productions
specifications and provide stable, secure and unlabeled transport of a fully
turnkey camera operator’s station. The
kits consist of the D50 camera, a CCU-D50, an RCP-D50, Vinton 100 sticks,
spreader and head and studio kit (arms, zoom/focus controls, camera mounting
plate and color viewfinder).
Spectrum Productions believes the new D50
cameras, CCU’s and RSP’s will add greater depth to its corporate event
production service offerings not only in video, but will also bolster its
current full service creative production capabilities.
